I am a Phys Ed Teacher based in Geelong, Australia. My lifes goal is to see kids excel and achieve their dream. My PE moto is DREAM, BELIEVE, ACHIEVE. Outside of the Gym I live a very active life. I train for Triathlons pushing myself to my own personal goals each day of the week. I feel it is great to have role models and people to look up to. Apart from my kids who inspire me on a daily basis I follow very closely the life of many endurance athletes. I love and admire their dedication to setting and achieving difficult goals.
As well as a Physical Education Teacher I also work for School Sport Victoria as Regional Coordinator. I have been with this organisation for the past 20 years acting in various roles. It is my role to provide children with pathways to participate in competitive sport. I currently coordinate 28 sporting carnivals throughout the year.
Achper has been very supportive of me in the past three years and given me a chance to present across three states. I have also had the pleasure to present extensively Internationally. Some of these sessions can be found on the advocacy page of this site.
I am a Phys Ed teacher based in Geelong, Australia. I believe education is the passport to the future. It is my responsibility as an educator to create opportunities for each child to step into the future with the skills required to achieve their goals. As a teacher I strive to continue learning because to teach, is to learn twice. When we stop learning - we stop living. I always reflect on my teaching and life experiences so that I can better prepare for what is ahead.
I am a Physical Education Teacher based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I believe that teaching Physical Education is a privilege and my job is to inspire not only the students but also the parents, teachers and the wider school community to engage in a healthy and active lifestyle. Students at my school actively participate in an innovative, vibrant, inclusive and quality Sport and Physical Education Program and from Foundation they understand that “it is not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game.” I am also an aspiring distance triathlete and like to think that I am a positive role model for all students by being living proof that “anything is possible.” In addition to my role as the school’s Physical Education teacher, I am also a Regional Sport Coordinator where I have the opportunity to engage 300 schools in sporting events across the calendar year. I have a passion for learning, sharing and connecting with my fellow phys ed teacher through many different channels and am always looking for new ways to “amplify my teaching.”

I am a very passionate Physical Education teacher based in the North Western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. I strongly believe that Phys. Ed. is a powerful tool that promotes not only physical activity and healthy living for children, but also many challenging and rewarding social and life experiences through persistence, communication and teamwork. As a teacher, there is no better feeling than watching a student succeed after overcoming challenges to achieve their goals. Their reactions as they realise that they can successfully complete is a skill for the first time is what makes every educators day. Still new to the Phys Ed. scene, I am learning new methods and strategies everyday and am loving every minute of it. I believe networking is such a powerful tool for teachers and I am incredibly lucky to be part of a never ending #physed community!
Above and beyond the teaching of physical literacy, I see sport as a metaphor for life. It provides us with opportunities for goal setting, persistence, individual and collaborative pursuits. Sport teaches us resilience, confidence and humility. As a PE teacher I am a member of my greater community and I endeavour help students to grow up with the skills and knowledge that will see them take maximum enjoyment from life. Each year I undertake new team or individual goals in my own sport. My most recent achievements are completing the 2014 Melbourne Marathon and winning the 2015 Victorian Amateurs ClubXVII Premiership with Hawthorn Spartans Football Club.
I am a very passionate Primary Physical Education teacher based in Melbourne, Victoria. I enjoy seeing my students succeed both on and off the courts. I include a lot of ICT into my teaching and this also enables me to connect with my students. I am a part of School Sport Victoria where I coordinate a local district with their interschool sports program. I am very privileged to be a part of the ACHPER family to present at various ACHPER conferences, which I thoroughly enjoy doing. As educators we never stop learning, you need to take risks to succeed. If I had to give one advice too all teachers it would be networking. Networking is very powerful and it is a huge benefit to your learning, teaching and success. I love my sport, I love playing sports and seeing students challenge themselves and learn something new is very rewarding and this for me as an educator is the greatest reward of them all. That's one reason why I have the best job in the world

I am a physical educator based in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Phys Ed and Sport totally engulf my life. First and foremost I am a dad to two highly active and energetic twin boys. My time at home is spent playing backyard, cricket, soccer, football, tennis, baseball and a variety of other games that we make up. I see sport and physical activity as a cornerstone of life and one which teaches us so many valuable life lessons. As a PE teacher I strive to be innovative, energetic and fun. I value physical literacy and learning. My goal is to foster a love of physical activity in the young people that I work with. Finally, I am the West Metro Region coordinator with School Sport Victoria. A position that provides many challenges but also delivers so many rewards in that I get to work with Victoria’s young elite sporting talent.
